IOV INDONESIA YOUTH SECTION FOR WORLD FEST MOOD INDIGO 2011, MUMBAI, INDIA

MUMBAI: For the first time in its 41-year history, IIT Bombay will open its doors to four international folk dance groups to take part in the four-day Mood Indigo Worldfest-2011, opening here Sunday. Teams from Indonesia, Turkey, Spain and Poland will participate in this year's Mood Indigo Worldfest, making Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay the only Indian campus to invite and host foreign groups to what is now seen as a world-class festival. Ferriswheel Entertainment Pvt. Ltd is a Mumbai based agency specializing in Conceptualization, Production & Line Production, & Direction of Live Events, Shows & Festivals for Cultural, Sports & Entertainment platforms at both National & International levels is bringing down four groups from Indonesia, Poland, Spain and Turkey at Mood Indigo this year. This international segment of historic festival is called Mood Indigo Worldfest 2011. Mood Indigo Worldfest 2011 will bring together young folkdance groups from different countries to perform on a single platform to showcase their country’s rich cultural heritage. It aims at creating global citizens by uniting the youth of today as one people, enriched by individual differences and united by the common thread of humanity. The festival is committed to promote cross-cultural understanding and global cooperation. International groups visiting Mood Indigo would also conduct workshops to facilitate cultural exchange and will participate in sightseeing tours, parties and journeys to various points in the host city of Mumbai. Shubhra Bhardwaj Mehandirata, the Artistic Director of Mood Indigo Worldfest 2011 sums up, “Worldfest will bring the world to MI in an attempt to present the festival on an International platform. The motto of the festival is “Today’s friendship for Tomorrow’s peace”.
